Mumbai: Shares of mining and resources major Vedanta Ltd (NSE: VEDL) plunged significantly during the morning trading session on Thursday, April 4th. According to stock market data observed around 10:08 AM IST, the Vedanta share price was trading sharply lower at 417.10 INR.

Key financial metrics displayed alongside the sharp price movement include a Market Cap of 1.63 Lakh Crore INR and a Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio of 12.46. Notably, the company displayed a very high Dividend Yield of 11.31%.

The current trading level positions Vedanta stock within its 52-week range. Over the past year, the shares have reached a high of 526.95 INR and recorded a low of 301.70 INR, providing context for the day’s significant downturn.
